BIOGRAPHY
Dusan
Petrovic - started his musical education
when he was 5.
He studied Violin, then moved to Horn and Bass guitar and later
Double
Bass. He worked with numerous bands from Belgrade and also on projects
for contemporary dance groups, ballet, theaters and movies.
Self-educated
him self in saxophone and played and recorded again with numerous
bands.
He was the founder and leader of MENSON BENSON SEXTET
and cofounder of TEGET. His latest project is NOVA EXPRESS with Mihailo
Krstic.
Boris
Mladenovic - Founder of Belgrade's band
"Flag Post" that is
still going on and "live producer" of band "Sila". Co-operated with
Dusan
in MENSON BENSON 6 and was also one of the founders of band TEGET.
Finally
with Dusan started new project: COXLESS PAIR
|
SOUNDS
Their
music is mostly inspired
by Jazz standards and refreshed nicely with heavy club rhythms. New and
fresh aproach to dance culture. My favs from the album are
'Conteplation',
'Jive Samba' and 'Pretty (Tokyo) Eyes' and also check their
mad, jungle remix of 'Jive Samba' on 'Belgrade's Burning'. They also
did
a remix of Menson Benson's 'Favourite Tongue'. When supporting Zeljko
Kerleta's
live performances they appear under the name SPACE RUNNERS. |
